NBA Draft Profile: Wesley Johnson
- Updated: April 30, 2010
Wesley Johnson
GUARD/FORWARD
6-7, 198 lbs.
College: Syracuse
Class: Junior
STRENGTHS: Johnson was the consummate off-guard at Syracuse last season, coming right in after transferring from Iowa State and winning the Big East Player of the Year award. He has size, shooting ability, unselfishness, and a knack for rebounding. He’s also an excellent defender.
WEAKNESSES: Johnson may be a bit of a tweener at only 198 lbs. He will need to get stronger to play the 3-spot, or quicker in order to defend against NBA 2-guards.
