March Madness just got a little more awesome.
RoundballDaily.com editor and greatest human ever candidate Kels Dayton has signed up to provide live play-by-play commentary of Dayton-Stanford and Florida-UCLA on Thursday, through a service called SecondMic.
SecondMic is an app that allows viewers to listen to live sporting events and other television shows with a unique perspective. Viewers mute their TVs, and launch SecondMic for an alternative soundtrack, always in sync with the TV broadcast.
SecondMic will be offering the team voice during Sweet 16 round of the NCAA tournament. March Madness fans watching on TV will listen to local voices call the game on the app, which will feature teamcasts by die-hard fan clubs, bloggers and podcasters.
Kentucky Sports Connection, a popular website covering UK sports, will also do live coverage for the Kentucky Wildcats. The Blackburn Review, a famous basketball blog from the University of Dayton, will cover the epic matchup against Stanford. Roundball Daily will cover a few games, while former major league players and personalities related to San Diego and UCLA are also lined up to do live TV coverage through SecondMic.
