Malik Monk goes for 21 on five threes against Knicks on Tuesday
- Updated: November 8, 2017
Rookies across the league are balling right now (just look at Ben Simmons, Jayson Tatum, Lauri Markkanen, Donovan Mitchell, and Dennis Smith Jr., among others), and even the ones not getting huge minutes are making a contribution.
Malik Monk had a terrific first half against the Knicks on Tuesday night. The 19-year-old from Kentucky scored 18 points on four threes. He was automatic on a couple of wide-open looks, scored off of a few drives to the basket, and moved the ball well. He did a nice job replacing starter Jeremy Lamb, and for a while in the first half, the Knicks couldn’t guard him.

Monk struggled a little bit in the second half, though he did knock down another three, and finished with 21 points.
It was Monk’s second-best performance of the year, as he put up 25 in a 126-121 win over the Bucks last Wednesday.
We just thought his performance was worth micro-blogging about. We know #BBN appreciates it.
