NBA Draft Profile: John Wall
- Updated: April 30, 2010
GUARD, 6-4, 195 lbs.
College: Kentucky
Class: Freshman
SELECTED #1 overall by Washington
STRENGTHS: Wall is an outstanding pro prospect with great court vision, elite-level athleticism, and an incredible knack for making the big play. He is the quickest player in the draft, and the clear-cut choice for No. 1.
WEAKNESSES: All you had to do is watch Kentucky’s Elite Eight loss to West Virginia to figure out what Wall’s biggest weakness is. He struggles shooting the ball.
PICK GRADE: A+. This was the only pick for the Wizards, who needed a new face of the franchise. Wall gives Washington a true point guard, and could be a star right away.
