Patty Mills Hits game-winning three at buzzer; Australia upsets Russia

Australia’s Patrick Mills hit a game-winning three with 0.4 seconds left, and Australia defeated Russia in the final game of preliminary play on Monday. The Aussies (3-2) led the entire way, but Vitaliy Fridzon hit two clutch free throws with 4 seconds to go to put the previously unbeaten Russians (4-1) up 80-79.
Mills’ three lifts the Australians into the quarterfinal round.
