PF- Adreian Payne

Sr., Michigan State

You could make a serious argument for Kentucky’s Julius Randle (15 ppg, 10 rpg) here, and you wouldn’t be wrong. But Payne gets the nod from us because he’s a senior, and because he’s been more consistent all season long. The 6-10, 245 pound monster from Dayton has also had his share of big-time performances this season. He went off for 33 and 9 in a win over Texas, and 29 and 10 in a pasting of Virginia Tech.

Payne is probably the biggest key to Michigan State’s national championship hopes, and will need to dominate on the interior in March if the Spartans want to match their preseason expectations.

Honorable Mentions: Julius Randle, Fr., Kentucky; C.J. Fair, Sr., Syracuse; Cleanthony Early, Sr., Wichita State
