Columbus Crew Love: An anthem for the Save the Crew movement
- Updated: November 28, 2018
It’s not very often that an owner who’s threatening to move a team comes up with a logo design for the new franchise, and gets stadium approval from the prospective city, only to see his plans foiled by the lowly local supporters, who most had left for dead.
The Columbus Crew were gone, set to become Austin FC next season, leaving behind passionate fans in one of America’s best soccer cities. It seemed like that anyway, until fans united together to save their club, with the inspirational #SavetheCrew movement, one of the few in sports history that has actually worked.
In honor of the Columbus Crew fans who fought hard for their team and their city, we’ve decided to put together this video to tribute their efforts and hopefully showcase a little bit of what it’s like to have that Columbus Crew love.
